The wonders of nature in the city

Two snaps to bring us up to date (well for Lynda anyway; that Rachel needs a couple of days to herself to post all the pics she's been snapping). So, where else would you ever see a canal boat with every inch covered by bedding plants? On the Regents Canal of course! 'For a shoot' ('natch!). It alwasy seems a shame when such a beautiful backdrop is rather ruined the next day by a gaggle of arsey twenty-something budding actors/directors/go-fers milling about doing very little apart from getting in the way of the cycle communters. A few years back, when I spotted a boat totally covered in mirror tiles, that was down on the canal too. For a shoot. 'Natch.

Then tonight, on my way to deliver food for that new baby's family (a lovely tradition which we've had in these parts these last few years - though of course it's as old as the hills), I noticed this beautiful shadow. The tree itself seems rather unremarkable. At least I've passed it hundreds of times and never stopped to look at it. But in the neon glow of the streetlight, on a bare brick wall, its shadow seemed somehow strong and magical and other worldly.
