11 Feb. And the word is gather. Which is easy because we have gathered for Ash Wednesday. Old ones and young ones, thinking about death and our origins in the maker and our endings in the maker. From ash and stardust we have come and to ash and stardust we will return.
@Rethinkchurch is an initiative of the United Methodist Church in the US this is an Instagram project. One photo per day for lent on a theme. I feel conflicted about blogging about it too. In some ways if it's an Instagram picture it should probably just be in Instagram picture. But I came across this as I was posting it and felt inspired enough by Nadia to make a link to her Ash Wednesday reflections. Perhaps that's what my blogging will be this year- recycling other peoples words as I'm inspired by them. More of an internal journey than the ones I've done for previous Lenten periods.

The photos inspired by +Rethink Church were fun and an inspiration to me during Lent. But oops no blog. I suspect it will be similar in 2017. My words have dried up and pretty pics is all I have left. Instagram you are my friend!
